Romans 12:2 says not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. The Young Adult Ministry of HBC seeks to provide young men and women with an opportunity to be changed by Jesus Christ. They are real people, in the real world, talking about real issues and they are convinced that there is a real God with real answers. They have met Christ and have been unalterably changed on the flipside of that experience.

      This world throws a lot at us. Our adult ministries are there to help you learn what the Bible says about everyday life and how to deal with it. We want to help you learn what it means to have a relationship with God through His son Jesus Christ, as well as how to deepen that relationship on a daily basis.

     Sports is a great way to spend time with friends and family. At HBC we use sports as a way for Christians to fellowship with one another as well as an opportunity to evangelize our community. We have several sports events and seasons that we take part in. If you;re looking for a way to spend time with people in a fun and encouraging environment, the HBC Sports ministry is for you!

     Babies are a sign of a growing church and ours is no exception! We have qualified women who love providing children the tender love and care that all babies deserve. Allow our loving staff to care for your little one so that you can enjoy the teaching and preaching of God'sWord with the peace of mind that your child is safe.

      Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven." At Heartland Baptist Church we love kids. Our children's ministries are designed to teach children to love God and His Word as well as the truths that it proclaims. At Heartland Baptist, your kids will learn what it means to have a relationship with Jesus so that they can grow up to live lives that are pleasing to the Lord.

     Luke 2:52 tells us that as Jesus grew, he grew in wisdom, in stature and in favor with God and man. That is just what we desire for the teenagers in our area. We try to provide teens with the tools to experience life with Christ on a daily basis. Our teen ministry is filled with fun activities, meaningful Bible lessons and people that seek to help your teens learn that God loves them and desires to have a growing relationship with them.

     Our Silver Anchors Ministry is for those 55 and older. We love the gray hairs at our church and this ministry is our attempt to show them our love and appreciation, as well as a chance to stay involved in ministry! If you love good food, fun, fellowship, and just generally serving the Lord to have a great time, then this ministry is one you won't want to miss!

     Our missions ministry is dedicated to the world beyond Ames. From Des Moines to Asia and from Canada to Africa, our church reaches out around the world. Our primary focus is church planting. We hope to help establish sound, fundamental congregations throughout the world so that others can have the same great experience with God that those at Heartland have!.

     Whether your single, engaged, married, widowed, with kids, without kids, young or old, our ladies ministry has got something for you! We have several Bible Studies, book clubs, and service opportunities available to anyone and everyone. In our ladies ministry you will learn the Bible, make great life-long friends, and be able to serve the Lord through serving others.
